Job Description


Title: Quality Manager

 Department: Projects

 Reports to: Project Manager, Managing Director

 Location: Richmond, BC, very frequent and extended country-wide travel to project sites as required by project work load

 Duration: Permanent

 Number of Openings: 1

 Compensation: Negotiable and depending on experience

 Work Hours: 10 h days, depending on shift cycle, not eligible for overtime


Responsibilities and Tasks

-       Develop quality assurance plans, programs, procedures and tools to manage quality

-       Implement quality assurance plan for each project in coordination with site management

-       Inspect the work according to the required established frequency

-       Examine (measure, test) work to the detail required to ensure contract compliance

-       Provide quality training to key staff

-       Act as a liaison between the contractor, customer staff, local municipalities, etc. as required

-       Actively participate in the safety program of Iyinisiw

-       Other tasks as related to Quality Management as assigned during the course of business


Required Qualifications

-       College or university degree, a degree in a technical discipline is considered an asset

-       5 years related work experience in a construction environment

-       Certificate in a trade related to construction or Welding Inspector Certificate

-       Has detailed technical knowledge of codes and standards, regulatory requirements, modern construction practices, techniques and equipment

-       Excellent English communication skills in speaking, understanding, writing and reading

-       Excellent interpersonal skills

-       Strong organizational and analytical skills

-       Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, proficiency in drafting software is considered an asset

-       Valid safety certifications are considered an asset

-       Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license
